Growing 25,600 seedlings every year.
Community-owned tree nurseries producing native and agroforestry species for reforestation, food security, and climate resilience across Rwanda.
From Seed to Forest
Every seedling follows a four-stage journey from collection to community ownership.
Seed Collection
Community members gather native seeds from local forests, ensuring genetic diversity and regional adaptation for every seedling.
Nursery Cultivation
Seeds are germinated and nurtured in community-managed nurseries using organic methods — no synthetic inputs, just composted soil and care.
Community Planting
Mature seedlings are distributed for reforestation sites, school grounds, church campuses, and family agroforestry plots.
Sustained Growth
Follow-up monitoring ensures survival rates. Communities take ownership of long-term care, creating self-sustaining green corridors.
Species We Grow
A mix of native species and proven agroforestry trees selected for Rwanda's climate and community needs.
Community-Owned, Community-Led
Every nursery is managed by local community members who are trained in propagation, soil management, and sustainable harvesting. TIDA provides initial setup and training — then the community takes ownership.
