Women Eco-Project (WEP)
The Women Eco-Project equips women with green skills, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental entrepreneurship opportunities that improve household incomes while protecting God's creation. Through eco-friendly fuel production, natural handicrafts, and climate-smart solutions, women become leaders of both economic and environmental transformation.
The Problem
Many women, especially teen mothers, women with disabilities, and women-led households, face limited economic opportunities while depending heavily on natural resources for survival. This often increases pressure on forests through the use of firewood and charcoal, contributing to environmental degradation and climate change.
At the same time, agricultural waste and local natural resources remain underutilized despite their potential to create sustainable businesses. Without access to skills, markets, and financial opportunities, many women struggle to build resilient livelihoods that benefit both their families and the environment.
How We Work"
The Women Eco-Project combines environmental conservation with women's economic empowerment. Through practical training, innovation, mentorship, and market connections, we help women create sustainable enterprises that generate income while reducing environmental degradation and promoting climate resilience.
