1,203 Teachers Trained
TIDA International has now trained 1,203 teachers across Rwanda in our integrated approach to creation care theology and environmental education — surpassing our 2024 mid-year target.
The teacher training program equips educators with curriculum materials, hands-on activities, and theological frameworks that connect biblical stewardship with practical environmental action. Teachers learn to lead school tree-planting programs, establish eco-clubs, and integrate conservation themes across subjects.
Feedback from trained teachers consistently highlights two outcomes: students become more engaged when environmental topics are connected to faith, and teachers themselves develop a deeper personal commitment to creation care.
The ripple effect is significant. Each trained teacher reaches an average of 45 students per year, meaning our 1,203 trained educators are impacting over 54,000 students annually with creation care education.
