Church Partnership Program Grows
Five new congregations have joined TIDA's Church Partnership Program, bringing our total to 23 partner churches actively integrating creation care into their life and mission.
Each partner church establishes a Green Committee — a team of lay leaders responsible for guiding the congregation's environmental engagement. Committees organize tree planting events, facilitate small group studies on biblical stewardship, and advocate for sustainable practices in their communities.
New partner churches receive a comprehensive resource kit including sermon outlines, small group curriculum, and action plan templates. TIDA staff provide six months of on-site support, followed by ongoing mentorship through quarterly gatherings of Green Committee leaders.
The growth of the program reflects a deepening awareness among Rwandan church leaders that caring for creation is inseparable from the gospel mandate. As one pastor noted: "We cannot preach about God's goodness while ignoring His creation."
