Ndi Umudigitale Launches
TIDA International is proud to announce the launch of Ndi Umudigitale ("I am Digital"), a pioneering program that bridges digital literacy with environmental conservation in Rwanda.
The program trains young people aged 15–25 to use mobile technology, GPS mapping, and basic data analysis for environmental monitoring. Participants learn to document biodiversity, track tree planting progress, and map community resources — turning their smartphones into tools for creation care.
The first cohort of 45 participants gathered in Kigali for an intensive two-week training, followed by hands-on fieldwork in their home communities. Early projects include mapping water sources in rural districts and creating digital inventories of native tree species in community nurseries.
Ndi Umudigitale represents TIDA's commitment to equipping the next generation with both the theological foundation and practical skills needed for long-term environmental stewardship.
